Meditation w/my #littleguru, is one of my fav things! Today he was a little restless, but I suppose we all have those days!
Also, remember: The next Full Moon is March 16th, and so is the kickoff of our next challenge!
The #PinkLotusOMies @yogi_peanut @ireeyogi @ladiboomyogini will be hosting a #21daysOfMudras #Challenge! This is a little different because the focus is on Meditation and not so much the physical asana. Each day one of us will post a mudra and a mantra/intention for that day’s meditation.
The body is made up of microsystems/microcosms. The face, palms of the hands, soles of the feet, ears, etc… can be used to treat and heal all areas of the body. Hand mudras are used in meditation and breathing exercises. The light touch of different areas on the hands will activate different aspects of the brain/body, directing energy flow.
Each week there will be a meditation goal time:
1st Week: 5 minutes per day
2nd Week 10 minutes per day
3rd Week: 15 minutes per day
This may sound easy and not very long, but meditation is one of the most difficult parts of the yoga practice. The physical postures are there to prepare the body for seated meditation.
